In order to further facilitate cross-border travel between China and foreign countries, China has decided to extend the visa-free policy to nine more countries including Malta, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Estonia, Latvia and Japan. From 30th November, 2024 to 31st December, 2025, the ordinary passport holders of above-mentioned countries, can be exempted from visa to enter China and stay for no more than thirty(30) days for the purposes of business, tourism, family visit, exchanges and transit. Individuals who do not meet the visa-exemption conditions will still need to apply for a visa before entering China.
