Beijing,Shanghai and Chengdu now allow transit tourists from 45 countries holding third-country visas and plane tickets to apply for a transit without visa (TWOV) for 72 hours at Beijing Capital International Airport, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport , Pudong International Airport and Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport on the following conditions:

1. Foreign passenger needs to show the flight ticket to the third country and valid visa, if requested by the third country, to the border control in the airport in Beijing,Shanghai or Chengdu.

2. Foreign passengers are only allowed to stay in Beijing or Shanghai area within 72 hours, not allowed to travel to other area of China.
