On April 23, the "Spring Fair" was held in the Chinese classical garden of Serenity in Santa Lucija. Chinese Embassy in Malta, Santa Lucija Mayor Hon. St. John, Chinese-funded institutions,  overseas Chinese and hundreds of local people attended the event. 

In his congratulatory message, H.E. Ambassador Yu Dunhai thanked China Cultural Center and Santa Lucija for co-hosting the event, and said that the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China was successfully held last October, China will promote the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through a Chinese path to modernization. China's development will continue to benefit the world, and Chinese modernization will bring important opportunities to the world. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malta more than half a century ago, our two countries have maintained close high-level exchanges, and achieved fruitful results in economic cooperation and cultural exchanges. In 2023, China-Malta exchanges and cooperation maintain a sound momentum at all levels. We welcome Maltese friends to visit China more often and truly experience an open and inclusive China.
