On May 24, H.E. Ambassador Yu Dunhai visited St. Margaret College Verdala Secondary School, held a discussion with teachers and students of the "Science China Corner" and bid them goodbye.
Ambassador Yu said that President Xi Jinping wrote a reply letter to the teachers and students of the "Science China Corner" two years ago, which marks a good story of cultural exchanges between China and Malta. In the past two years, the teachers and students have lived up to President Xi Jinping's earnest expectations and have done a great job studying and spreading the Chinese culture and history. Last year, the teacher and students fulfilled their long-cherished wish by making a successful visit to China and experienced the charm of Chinese culture firsthand. I hope that teachers and students will continue to promote mutual learning between Chinese and Maltese civilizations and the longstanding China-Malta friendship.
Mr. Joseph Ellul thanked Ambassador Yu and the Embassy for their long-term support for the "Science China Corner" and looked forward to jointly encouraging more young people to participate in cross-cultural exchanges. Teacher Martin Azzopardi, founder of the "Science China Corner" thanked the Embassy for organizing their visit to China last year, and said that he would continue to contribute to cultural exchanges between Malta and China and the friendship between the two peoples.
During their discussion, the teachers and students extended their reluctant goodbyes and good wishes to the Ambassador.
