On June 19, 2024, the second signing ceremony of the Beijing Convention on the Judicial Sale of Ships, jointly organized by the Maltese government, the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law and the International Maritime Organization, was held in Malta. Representatives of international organizations such as the United Nations, representatives of the signatory countries and diplomatic envoys of various countries in Malta attended the event. Counselor Chen Guihua was invited to attend. High-level officials from the United Nations, Committee Maritime International and the European Commission also made keynote addresses.

Representatives of Malta, Antigua and Barbuda, Cyprus, Italy, Spain and other countries signed the United Nations Convention.
