On January 21, Mr Peng Yijun, Charge d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Malta, met with Mr. Sant Manduca, the Mayor of Mdina.
Mr. Sant Manduca highlighted the profound history and culture that both Malta and China enjoy, as well as the commonalities that we share. Since the establishment of sister-city relations between Mdina and Dongcheng District of Beijing, the friendship between the two sides has continued to grow. He looks forward to further expanding exchanges and cooperation with China in various fields such as culture, tourism and education etc.
Mr Peng highly commended the friendly relations between China and Malta, stressing that local-level exchanges and cooperation between the two countries have been fruitful in recent years, playing an important role in promoting mutual understanding and mutually beneficial cooperation.. The Chinese Embassy in Malta will continue to serve as a bridge and render its support for local-level friendship and practical cooperation.
