On May 26, Chargé d'Affaires Peng Yijun hosted a thematic briefing and reception on "The 50th Anniversary of China-EU Diplomatic Ties and Chinese Modernization". Over 30 representatives from the political, business, and academic sectors of Malta, as well as local media including Times of Malta and Newsbook, attended the event.

The briefing presented a panoramic view of China's modernization achievements, the fruitful outcomes of China-EU and China-Malta cooperation through over 20 sets of data charts, 9 themed short videos, and over 40 photographs. It vividly illustrated the bright prospects of China's economy, explained the new opportunities brought by Chinese modernization to the world, and envisioned the broad potential for China-Europe and China-Malta collaboration. Mr. Peng called for strengthened practical cooperation to inject certainty into a world of turbulence and transformation.
