From 1 to 6 December 2022, people from various circles in Malta visited the Chinese Embassy to express their deep condolences over the passing of the former Chinese Leader H.E. Jiang Zemin and sign the book of condolences.

Mr Christopher Cutajar, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade, Dr Bernard Grech, Leader of the PN, Dr Beppe Fenech Adami, PN Spokesperson for Foreign and European Affairs, Mr Marc Vella Bonnici, International Secretary of the PL, Ms Veronica Perici Calascione, International Secretary of the PN, Mr Reno Calleja, President of the Malta-China Friendship Society, Mr Mario Calleja, Mayor of Marsaskala, were present at the mourning hall to offer condolences.  

Foreign diplomats resident in Malta also visited the Chinese Embassy to pay final respect to the former Chinese Leader H.E. Jiang Zemin.

The Chargé d'affaires Mr Peng Yijun extended sincere appreciation to all the visitors.
