On 22 March, H.E. Ambassador Yu Dunhai met with Maltese secondary school students Amelia Calleja and Mattia Dalcielo, two "Junior Cultural Ambassadors" who will soon visit China at the invitation of China Soong Ching Ling Foundation. Director of the China Cultural Centre in Malta Ms Yuan Yuan was present.

Ambassador Yu extended warm congratulation to the two “Junior Cultural Ambassadors”. He spoke highly of the importance of exchanges among diversified civilizations and said if we embrace multiculture, enhance mutual understanding and jump out of our limitations, we could better promote peace and cooperation and avoid wars and conflicts.

Ambassador Yu encourages the two Maltese students to continue participating in cultural exchanges between China and Malta, so as to promote mutual learning of civilizations and carry forward the friendship between the two peoples. He wishes the two students enjoy the long history and rich culture during their visit to China.

“Junior Cultural Ambassador” event is launched by China Soong Ching Ling Foundation and oversea China Cultural Centres, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China. Amelia Calleja received the awards in the year of 2020 and 2021. Mattia Dalcielo is the winner of the award in the year of 2022.
