On September 12, 2022, Ambassador Yu Dunhai met with Mr Joseph Ellul, Head of the Verdala Secondary School, St. Margaret College. They exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in education and culture. Ms Yuan Yuan, Director of the China Cultural Centre in Malta, was present.

Ambassador Yu said that President Xi Jinping warmly replied letter to the teachers and students of the "China Corner" recently, fully affirming their contribution to the promotion of cultural exchanges between our two countries, which reflects the great importance that President Xi Jinping attaches to the friendship between China and Malta. The Chinese Embassy appreciates Mr Ellul's long-term and strong support for the "China Corner" and stands ready to take this opportunity to strengthen cooperation with the School to run the "China Corner" even better, so as to expand and deepen the educational and cultural exchanges between China and Malta.

Mr Ellul said that the School looks forward to strengthening communication with the Chinese embassy to carry out more cooperation in education.
