On 15th September 2022, H.E. Ambassador Yu Dunhai, accompanied by Commercial Counselor Zhou Xuewen, visited the 17th Chinese Medical Team, who are about to finish their tenure, at the Mediterranean Regional Centre for Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Ambassador Yu was briefed on the team’s work and commended the team for overcoming the challenges brought about by the pandemic, showcasing professionalism and high spirits, and contributing to the spread of traditional Chinese medicine culture and the people-to-people exchanges between China and Malta.

Ambassador Yu hoped that the team will draw on their experience and hand it over smoothly to the next Chinese Medical Team. He also asked the team to carry on the good practice of epidemic prevention to ensure the safety of the members.

Members of the team said that they have gained much from the experience and were touched by the enthusiasm the local people had shown toward traditional Chinese medicine. They were proud to have contributed to China-Malta friendship.
