On 22 July, H.E. Ambassador Yu Dunhai attended the 20th Anniversary Concert of the China Cultural Centre in Malta. More than 100 guests from all walks of life including President Emeritus Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, Mayor of Santa Lucija Ms Charmaine St John, Deputy Director General of Xi'an Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism Mr Zhao Feng, Director of the China Cultural Centre in Malta Mrs Yuan Yuan presented at the event.

In his speech, Ambassador Yu said that since its establishment 20 years ago, the China Cultural Centre has actively engaged in people-to-people and cultural exchanges in Malta, and created brand activities such as "Happy Chinese New Year celebrations", Chinese Kite Festival and "Imagine China" children's art competition, which has become an important window for Maltese people to understand China. Looking to the future, the China Cultural Centre will continue playing the role of a bridge and hold more colorful activities to promote people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

President Emeritus Coleiro Preca and other guests appreciated the achievements made by the China Cultural Centre in promoting cultural exchanges between China and Malta over the years, and wished the Center better and better.

The concert was jointly performed by the Xi'an Xinmin Orchestra and the Song of Everlasting Sorrow Art Troupe of Huaqing Palace organized by the Xi'an Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism.
