Ambassador Yu Dunhai Attends the Celebration Event for the Publication of “Cooking from the Heart”

On January 19, H.E. Ambassador Yu Dunhai was invited to attend the celebration event for the publication of “Cooking from the Heart” hosted by Mrs. Miriam Vella, First Lady of Malta, at the Verdala Palace.

The book is co-published by the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation and the Ministry for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights. It includes recipes of typical dishes provided by over 20 diplomatic missions in Malta. Among them, Chayote salad, deep-fried lotus root, braised pork with red dates and Melaleuca oil Cake are presented by the Chinese Embassy.

Ambassador Yu said that the food from different countries represents the cultural diversity in the world and showcases people's pursuit and enthusiasm for better lives. Chinese traditional food featuring various local flavours and multiple culinary techniques has captivated food enthusiasts worldwide. We hope that the Chinese delicacies can further present the Chinese culture to the Maltese people and promote people-to-people connectivity and friendly ties between our countries.
