Chinese Embassy in Malta hosts the “Happy Chinese New Year” Concert and Reception

On February 4, the Chinese Embassy in Malta hosted the Happy Chinese New Year Concert and Reception at the University of Malta. H.E. Ambassador Yu Dunhai attended the event and made an address. Over 500 guests joined the Spring Festival celebration, including a number of cabinet ministers, members of Parliament, diplomatic envoys in Malta, teacher and students of the “Science China Corner”, overseas Chinese and people committed to China-Malta friendship from various sectors.

Ambassador Yu reviewed the achievements of Chinese economic development, foreign policy and the fruitful results of China-Malta relations in the previous year and looked into the future. He stressed that the key to the robust development of China-Malta relations lies in our mutual respect, equal treatment and win-win cooperation. To address global challenges, we should jointly build a community with shared future for mankind, which includes calling for an equal and orderly multipolar world and a universally beneficial and inclusive economic globalization. He also encouraged the Chinese in Malta to stay committed to promoting the longstanding friendship between the two peoples.

Guests at the event applauded for the marvelous performance presented by Shenzhen Opera and Dance Theatre and spoke highly of China’s development achievements and the China-Malta friendship.
