on 31st May 2026, H.E. Ambassador Zhang Zuo and wife meets with Ms. Lisa Azzopardi, Maltese Consul General in Shanghai.

H.E. Ambassador Zhang underlined the longstanding friendship between China and Malta has been growing under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, with exchanges and cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, culture, and tourism constantly deepening. It is his hope to work together with the Consulate General of Malta in Shanghai to make greater contributions to the friendship between the two countries. 

Ms. Azzopardi noted that in recent years, high-level visits between Malta and China have become more frequent, and two-way investment cooperation has increased, marking the potential of Malta-China relations. Malta will stay commited to the friendly exchanges and pragmatic cooperation between the two countries.
