On 27th July 2026, the Chinese Embassy in Malta hosted a family meeting with the Malta Service Dogs Foundation. Mr Joseph Stafrace, Founder of thr organization, its staff members as well as service users and their families who benefit from the Embassy's donation attended the gathering.

 H.E. Ambassador Zhang Zuo noted that the training project that the Embassy sponsored, supported by H.E. President Spiteri Debono, is more than a charitabledonation but a bridge of the longstanding friendship between China and Malta. 

On behalf of the Foundation, Mr Stafrace expressed appreciation for the support from the China and delivered a certificate of donation to the Embassy. 

The families shared their stories with the service dogs and some of the dogs showcased their talents in assisting their owners during the event.
